CROCK POT BARBECUE

Ingredients

  • 1 (4-5 lb.) Boston butt roast
  • 3 tablespoons Crisco
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • 1 stick butter
  • ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce

Sauce

  • ½ cup ketchup
  • 6-8 tablespoons meat broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • Texas Pete or Tabasco hot sauce to taste

Directions

Heat Crock Pot and melt Crisco in crock pot.   Put meat, butter, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce in crock pot. Cook on high 10 to 12 hours or until done. Turn meat over about half/way through cooking time.

Remove meat from crock pot. Chop meat into small pieces. Mix ingredients for sauce. Sauce may be mixed with the meat or served on the side.
